Selling my Ish
For a few days leading to the event I pulled fabric out from spaces I didn't remember I had. There was sooo much! And that's on top of giving 550 yards away a few months ago. I finally had to stop going through bins.
I had a great response from the ladies. Many told me my fabrics were great. One in particular gave a heartfelt response regarding my work. I also took a few garments so they could get a broader idea of my work and the connection w/my fabrics.
A good day was had by me and I made not one doll.

$$$$ vs. Art
--But only for a moment-- My usual excitement just wasn't there. I did say I'd go back in the next week to look some more. I spent the next hour and a half w/my head buried in personal finance books. It's where I am at the moment. However, I have been dreaming of my next piece. All it takes is a small piece of fabric, a brush and some paint. Having neither of those on hand, I'm going to bed. I'll pick this up on the morrow.

Walk the Walk
Nevertheless, the afternoon was great for me. Just needed to be in an art environment. Mmm...Delicious.

It's A New Day. An Ode to James
Greetings:
It's now 5am and most of the snappy soliloquies that resided on the tip of my tongue have now gone the way of the wind. Mind you, I've been at the creation of this blog since midnight. Plenty of time you say. Maybe not! The idea to create this blog came while listening to an artist telesummit preview. I arrived back at the studio/home after a rigorous 2-hr workout ready to work. Armed with a glass of sparkling apple cider and a few bites of cheese, work is exactly what I did. I spent a little time looking at artist's blogs, picking my template and thinking about what I wanted to create.
On another note I'm absolutely happy to announce it’s my birthday. Already this feels like a great year. A year in which a lot of creating will take place. A year to take a look at where I’ve been living in the past and am willing to move from that place.
Eyelids slowly closing. More to come in the near future.
